This November, Questors Studio welcomes back actor and playwright Mark Stratford with his acclaimed solo show Macready! Dickens' Theatrical Friend, a portrait of one of the 19th century's most influential actor-managers.

The production runs from 26–28 November and offers a journey through the life of William Macready, the man to whom Charles Dickens dedicated Nicholas Nickleby.

Despite rising to the top of his profession, Macready never intended to be an actor, and Stratford's performance explores the personal and professional tensions that shaped his remarkable career. With humour, emotion and a host of characters, the show brings Victorian theatre to life in an 80-minute performance praised for its storytelling and historical insight.

Earlier in the month, Questors also hosts three productions as part of the international Voila! Europe Festival, which returns to the Studio following last year's successful partnership. Each show offers a distinct theatrical experience, blending languages, movement and music to explore contemporary themes.

On 17 & 18 November, How to Be a Romantic by Rolling Road Arts uses opera's most beloved music to tell a modern story about love and longing. Rosa is trying to understand how to love and whether great love, like that found in books, is even possible. The show is performed in English, Chinese, French and Italian and runs for 60 minutes.
