It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas


Pitshanger Lane is gearing up for the festivities

Pitshanger Lane launches the Christmas season in style this weekend, with a full weekend of seasonal festivities.

On Friday 25th November, from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm, St Barnabas (on the corner of Pitshanger Lane and Denison Road) hosts its ever popular Frost Fair with a Christmas food stalls, gifts, home-made jams and cakes, tombola, vintage and pre-loved jewellery and more. Santa’s Grotto and children’s activities will take place from 17.30 – 19.00.

Saturday 26th November offers families the chance to enjoy Christmas classic "A Muppet Christmas Carol" at 3 pm at Pitshanger Pictures in the St Barnabas Millennium Hall. Ticket prices include a drink and a snack and are child £4.50 / adult £6.

And if all that is not enough, the traditional Pitshanger favourite "Light Up the Lane" returns on Sunday 27th November. This event is a true celebration of shopping, socialising, amusements, food, song and dance for the local community.

The tree lights will be lit at 5pm and fireworks to finish the evening at 7pm. There will be local singers and dancers from schools and other organisations along with other street entertainers. Most shops will be open, many with special displays and items on sale to support charity.
