Celebrating the birth of Chopin
This unique piano festival on Saturday and Sunday 27th and 28th February, commemorates the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth on March 1st.
There are 38 pianists giving short recitals, playing virtually all of Chopin’s solo piano music. Full details are on www.barnabites.org/concertschopinfestival.asp
The festival will run from
1 pm to 10.15 pm, with regular intervals, and tea and supper will be
available. Admission to each of the four sessions (Saturday and Sunday
afternoons and evenings) is £10 (£5 for students and young people).
The church is very large, and admission to the festival is guaranteed. No tickets will be issued beforehand. Parking is readily available.
The event is being held to raise funds for the St Barnabas Organ Fund.
