St Barnabas Centenary Organ Festival

Hear short recitals played on the magnificent Hill organ

St Barnabas Organ

As part of St Barnabas' Centenary celebrations, nine organists will play short recitals of popular works, including many of the most famous pieces in the repertory.

The magnificent Hill organ - formerly in St Jude’s Church, Southsea - was transferred to St Barnabas in 2011 and rebuilt by Nicholson of Malvern at a cost of £400,000.

The opening recital at 2pm will be given by Martin Neary, ex- Organist of Westminster Abbey and President of the Royal College of Organists.

Admission to the festival is £12 per session (afternoon and evening), or £20 for the whole day, with half price for young people.  All proceeds will go to church funds. No tickets will be sold beforehand.  The church is large, and admission is guaranteed.

The festival takes place on Sunday 15 May 15 from 2.00-6.00pm and 7.00-10.00pm shortly before the church’s centenary on 3rd June, at St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane, W5 1QG.
