Date Announced for Twelfth Hanwell Hootie

Applications open for music acts wishing to take part

Sandy Park will continue to be a venue for the annual festival

February 3, 2025

The organisers of the Hanwell Hootie Music Festival have confirmed the date for this year’s event which will be the 12th time it has been held.

It is to take place on Saturday 10 May with the new format introduced last year to return with a few tweaks.

The Sandy Park stage will feature as well as the busking boat and a whole host of other venues dotted all over Hanwell.

The core mission of the organisers remains unchanged: to support young and emerging artists, celebrate Hanwell’s rich musical heritage, and instil pride in this corner of west London—placing Hanwell firmly on the musical map. The Hootie is run by a small team of volunteers who give up their spare time to stage the event.

Ever since inception, they have aimed to pay artists fair fees while ensuring the festival remains free to attend.

The application process has begun for bands wishing to take part. They can now submit their music and details for consideration, with all the specifics posted on the Hootie’s social media on the apply to play app here.

They are encouraging all artists who’ve previously emailed to apply via this process. Applications will remain open until 9pm on 10 February, and the process will even allow you to apply for other UK festivals with just a few clicks.

Anyone who wants to volunteer at the festival should email volunteers@hanwellhootie.co.uk. For general inquiries, reach out to info@hanwellhootie.co.uk.

Andy McRobbie, music director and co-founder said, “Organizing the Hanwell Hootie is a real team effort and a labour of love for us all. We’re grateful for the support of our community. I’m currently busy booking the artists and my fellow (2) directors are busy doing what seems like a million different things! It’s always exciting to bring great live music to Hanwell and the sheer volume of applications so far is staggering! It wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our amazing volunteers, who give their time to make the event so special. A big thank you to everyone who helps bring the Hootie to life!"
