The Wurzels Headline Ealing's Global Music Festival

A little bit of the British countryside will come to the heart of west London this summer when the Wurzels headline Ealing Global Festival.

With hits like ‘The Combine Harvester’ and ‘Cider Drinker’, the band has developed a cult following over the last five decades.

Joining the west-country favourites on stage are acts from around the globe, providing an eclectic mix of sounds and entertainment. Artists from as far afield as Africa, Central America and the Balkans will thrill the crowds.

Council Leader, Councillor Julian Bell, said: “I’m really looking forward to this year’s Ealing Global Festival. Where else can you see bands like the Wurzels in the same place as acts from Africa and Cuba. There really is something for everyone, whatever their age and tastes.”

·1pm-1.30pm: DJ Binglybongly
·1.30pm-2.30pm: The Wagon Tales
·3pm-4pm: Zong Zing
·4.30pm-5.30pm: Chancery Blame
·6pm-7pm: Wara
·7.30pm-8.30pm: Gypsy Hill
·9.15pm-10.30pm: The Wurzels

DJ Binglybongly will perform between each set.

South Stage
·2pm-3pm: Macusi Youth
·3.30pm-4.30pm: Oddfellows
·4.45pm-5.15pm: Batala London
·5.30pm-6pm: H-UNique Dance
·6.10pm-6.40pm: Batala London
·7.10pm–8pm: African Cultural Development
·8.30pm–10pm: Runaway Wedding Band

There will also be a free families area, offering a variety of activities to keep youngsters entertained.
