Ealing's Fabulous Women Gear Up For a Fabulous 2013

Business networking group meet first Friday of month

Get out of your comfort zone and try something new this year is the message from a local networking group.

'Fabulous Women' - a not for profit community - was launched in Ealing in October 2012 and has now grown to a network of 20+ groups. Women get together, share know-how, inspire and motivate each other online and in reality.

At the first meeting of 2013, members heard from marketing and business specialist, Glenda Shawley, of The Training Pack.

Glenda encouraged attendees to set specific business goals for 2013 based on what had gone well in 2012 and where there was scope for improvement.

She challenged members to work outside their comfort zones and try something new, particularly with how they market themselves. Ideas included more video marketing, entering awards, greater use of the digital, especially mobile and taking inspiration from Sir Richard Branson with his whacky stunts designed to raise awareness of Virgin’s new services.

The meeting also featured one minute pitches from all of the business owners present and saw Narmeen Narmeen of Gemstone Tech in the ‘hot seat’ receiving business ideas and advice from fellow business owners.

Group organiser Carole Ann Rice of the Real Coaching Co said , ‘I believe 2013 will be a great year for women in business and thanks to Glenda for some practical tips to give us a kick start.’

The Ealing Group meets from 10.30-12.30 on the first Friday of every month at the Hotel Xanadu on Bond St.
