Latest News From The Ealing Club

Forthcoming events for February

It's now official! The Rolling Stones' book celebrating their 50th anniversary has confirmed that Charlie Watts first played with the band at the Ealing Jazz Club on the 12th January 1963.

This means Ealing was the first venue where the legendary line up of Mick, Keith, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts began playing as a group.

In 2012, we had visits from Charlie Watts, Bobbie Korner and an end of year gig from Simon Townshend. More events are planned for February 2013. Ealing Club events will form part of the the inaugural Ealing Film and Music Festival that will begin to put all of Ealing's Film and Music Heritage on the map.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS
The Valentine Blues and Rock Festival features concerts with seasoned musicians that have played with the likes of Champion Jack, Savoy Brown, The Yardbirds, Dr Feelgood, Zoot Money, John Mayall and Ronnie Wood. In 2012, the Ealing Club has already helped push forward some emerging talent and this year we hope to build on that together with the University of West London and the wider music scene.

A night of music featuring John O'Leary and Alan Glen, two of the UK's finest harmonica players who will be backed by some of the most experienced Blues players from around the country.

15th February 2013
The Barrelhouse Blues Night featuring a selection of well seasoned Ealing Club musicians (+ Guests). Also in attendance will be as much merging music talent we can muster from the University of West London and the wider London music scene.

The Ali Mac Band created a buzz at the 2012 Blues Festival in Walpole Park and will no doubt do the same at the tiny basement bar opposite Ealing Broadway station. Ali McKenzie used to play the club with Ronnie Wood back in the mid 60's with their band that was known as The Birds.
