Brendon Burns is downstairs this Friday
Watch out here comes Brendon Burns...Fresh from tours of the USA and Australia, and a stint at the Soho Theatre earlier this month, the 2007 if. Comedy Award winner (formerly the Perrier), brings his unique brand of comedy to Downstairs at the Drayton this Friday, (June 5).
The controversial comic once got banned from BBC television for kissing a goat live on air; handed out enough (legal) mushrooms on stage at the Glastonbury festival to get a thousand people high, something Bill Hicks and John Lennon had talked about; wrote a trilogy that sent him clinically mad and was committed to a mental institution; and he walked off the set of 'Help I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now' live-on-air after just three days of hosting the show.
He has been described as a punk comedian who pushes and attempts to redefine the boundaries of taste in racism, sexism and homophobia.
Also appearing are Nick Wilty, Danny Ward, plus special guests with Phil Zimmerman as MC. Doors 8.00pm/show 8.45pm.
