Carols By Candlelight at Dickens Yard

Seasonal songs in Ealing's centre

Pupils from Christ Church school paid a seasonal visit to their new next door neighbours - Dickens Yard.

They sang carols by candlelight with representatives from St George West London and Ealing Mayor, Councillor John Gallagher.

Opened by the choir from Christ Church CE Junior School, the concert was judged to be a great success enjoyed by their parents, local residents and other guests alike.

Managing Director of St George West London, Ian Dobie commented:

''We were delighted to welcome The Mayor of the Ealing, children, parents and teachers from Christ Church School to our first annual Carol’s by Candlelight.

''Throughout designing this development, our aspirations are quite simple; to build a community surrounded by London style, first class retail and community squares, which could act as a meeting place for residents and visitors to enjoy.

''I look forward to building on an already close relationship with Christ Church Junior School and the Church alike.”

Mayor Cllr John Gallagher, added :''I would like to thank St George, Christ Church School and Fr Andrew Davis for organising this wonderful event.

'' I am very happy to see so many children here from the local school and it is good to see that so many parents and teachers have braved the cold to join them. I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.”
