Carnival's Just Round The Corner

and this year there's also Hanwell fringe

In the run up to Hanwell Carnival (June 18th Elthorne Park) there are some “fringe” events over the next few days:

On Thursday June 9th at The In On The Green (formerly The Dolphin) on Lower Boston Rd test your brains at the Carnival Pub Quiz. It’s not too late to put a team in.

For the ladies a “Fashion Mash Up” on Friday June 10th 7.30 at The William Hobbayne Centre Lower Boston Road. Like a swish; go along – hopefully with an item or two of clothes you no longer wear. For £2 entry (inc glass of vino) you can then browse the rails and get some new clobber. Everything will be very reasonably priced and all profits go to Carnival coffers.

Ever fancied being a record breaker? On Sunday June 12th you can! The Carnival organizers are planning to put Hanwell on the world map by getting into the Guinness Book Of Records TM …… by gathering together people wearing their dressing gowns! Where? St Mark’s School, Green Lane at 10 am. Entry is free – though you will have the chance to have an official photo taken.
