St Barnabas Schubert Festival

Friday 25th - Sunday 27th January

The Schubert musical festival will take place at St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane, London W5 1QG, and will comprise 12 hours of glorious music, in 5 sessions, played by over 50 musicians.

The 3 evening sessions are from 7 to 10 pm and the 2 afternoons (Saturday and Sunday) from 2 to 6 pm. The works include most of the major chamber masterpieces (the Octet, Trout Quintet, String Quintet, 'Death and the Maiden' quartet and both Piano Trios) as well as Schubert’s most famous lieder, violin and piano works, piano duets and solo piano works

The festival will be held 'in the round' with the musicians in the middle of the nave, so everyone is reasonably close. We have a Bosendorfer concert grand, previously used by the BBC for broadcasts on Radio 3. We also have a projection system to enable everyone to have a clear view. There are regular breaks for refreshments, and tea and supper are available.

Admission is £12 per session, or £50 for the entire festival (half price for young people).

No tickets will be issued beforehand.

The church is very large and admission is guaranteed.

All proceeds will go to St Barnabas Church Funds.
