Over 50 museums, libraries and archives across England are taking part in the Festival of Storytelling as part of Open Weekend, to celebrate the Launch of the Cultural Olympiad. The stories will bring alive museum, archive and library collections with words, music and dance.

Children are invited to Pitzhanger to hear Akuba tell the fascinating story of Sir John Soane, the architect who built Pitzhanger and his family who once lived there. Akuba will tell the story in her own unique style, inviting the audience to get caught up in the action.

Akuba has been telling stories to children and adults for many years. A regular performer at the British Museum, she has continuously enthralled audiences, inviting them to explore local and world heritage.
