Getting Your Hands Dirty At Pitzhanger Gallery

Something for all the family in the coming months

Henna Party
Saturday 12 January
2pm - 4pm

Mehndi is the application of henna, a temporary form of skin decoration. Mehndi patterns are very intricate - often involving paisley pattern - and are traditionally used on special occasions, such as weddings. Our Mehndi artist invites you to bring a friend, to work in pairs, to be tutored in this beautiful and ancient form of body art. This session includes a demonstration on how to wear a fabulous paisley pattern sari.
All materials are supplied. Henna can stain, so please wear old clothes on the day.

EDUCATION

Life Drawing at PM Gallery
PM Gallery is working in partnership with Brentside High School to host a series of FREE life drawing classes for Art Teachers and Sixth Form Art Students in the borough of Ealing. Led by Brentside tutor, Floyd Varey, the classes offer A Level students an excellent opportunity to build up a portfolio of primary source materials and Art Teachers an opportunity to develop their own practice.

Classes will run 4pm - 6pm Mondays 4, 11, 25 February and 3 March in PM's Studio Gallery, a new community education and exhibition space in a wing of the gallery. An exhibition of the work produced during these classes will follow in late March.

A total of 14 places are available. It is our intention to spread the allocation of places as evenly as possible over the borough's Sixth Forms. To book a place for you and/or your students, call 020 8567 1227. All places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
