Young apprentices invited to brush up on their interview skills next Thursday

Young job seekers are being given the opportunity to improve their interview skills and learn more about Ealing Council’s new apprenticeship scheme on Thursday 11 October.

People aged 16-24 years old can attend workshops, perfect their CV’s and receive helpful advice about becoming one of 20 new young recruits at the Council.

The programme has been set up to allow young people to work and train for a qualification at the same time. Successful candidates will receive NVQ 2 and 3 training during a two-year contract.

Ealing Council’s Chief Executive, Darra Singh, said: “ We want to offer one of the best apprenticeship training schemes in London, a scheme which offers excellent support and opportunities in various disciplines to all our apprentices.”

Each trainee will have their own mentor, a permanent member of staff, to help and guide them through their work placement.
