West Ealing Neighbours public meeting 30th September
West Ealing Neighbours is holding its next public meeting on Wednesday 30th September at Dean Hall, Williams Road, West Ealing starting 7.30pm.
At this meeting we will launch our plans for improving pedestrian safety and traffic flow in and around the Lido Junction.
For years WEN and other local residents groups have been asking the Council and TfL to tackle the urgent problem of making the Lido Junction safer to cross. As yet, nothing has happened.
As a result, in May of this year, WEN along with the Five Roads Forum and Kingsdown Residents Association joined forces to research and publish a series of proposals not only to make crossing at the Lido Junction safer but also to improve traffic flow at this important junction.
Our report, due to be published on 30th September, will propose a series of changes at the Lido Junction along with proposals to improve a series of nearby, and often related, pedestrian and traffic problems.
Also on the agenda for our meeting are:
• Trevor Sharman from the Ealing Transition Steering Group talking about how we can as a community take practical steps to prepare for life as the impact of peak oil and climate change start to hit home
• Tackling the problem of street drinkers – what is already happening and what more can be done?
