Another proposal submitted for two bars and nine flats

The owner of the Town House pub in Ealing Broadway has applied for permission to redevelop the derelict site.

Architects Joseph & Partners want to turn the ground floor into two separate bars, and the upper floors into nine flats, with extensions to the second and third floors.

The pub, which was owned by Fullers since the early 1800s, was previously known as The Feathers.

As the Town House it was once deemed unfit to deal with its "history of assaults, drunkenness and anti-social behaviour” and ordered to close for two weeks.

It had most recently been operated by the Town and City Pub Company, who rented it from the brewery but they didn't renew the lease when Fullers sold it to Osprey Holdings in November 2007.

It's been standing vacant since October last year and in summer squatters were evicted from the site.

An earlier redevelopment proposal was withdrawn after developers failed to provide enough information about soundproofing, this latest one follows a similar application made last year.
