Police Appeal Following Ealing Stabbing


Unprovoked attack after attempted phone robbery in The Mall

Police are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Ealing Broadway.

On Thursday 19 January at approximately 17:55hrs, police were called to reports of a person stabbed at a premises in The Mall, Ealing Broadway, W5.

Upon arrival, an 18-year old-man was found suffering injuries to his upper left arm. London Ambulance Service attended and he was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

It is believed he was approached by four unknown males. One of the males spoke to him and tried to steal his mobile phone, the victim refused and the suspect then threatened the victim with a knife. To try and escape, the victim ran and sought refuge in 'Mr Ben Barbers Shop' in The Mall. The suspect caught up with the victim and stabbed him in the left arm. The suspect then made off and is believed to have got on a 207 bus towards Ealing Broadway.

The suspect is described as a black male, aged between 18 and 25, and is approximately 5ft 8inches tall. He is believed to have been wearing a baseball cap, a dark puffer jacket and dark blue baggy jeans.

DC Reuben Pearson, Ealing Robbery Squad, said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a young man at a busy time of day in Ealing Broadway.
