Comedian Appeals For Return of Phone After Ealing Theft

Shappi becomes another victim of mobile device crime

Comedian, Shappi Khorsandi, has appealed for the return of her phone stolen from her baby changing bag in Marks and Spencer in Ealing Broadway.

On Tuesday (24th September) she wrote on the social media site twitter:

''Devasted. Phone just nicked from baby's changebag ealing b'way MnS. Priceless photos of my children. Huge reward for return Samsung galaxy.''

She said she has lost precious photos of her children, her son's 6th birthday and films of them both.

The author, broadcaster and stand-up comedian is a local Ealing resident and had just returned from South Africa where she's been filming a new interactive programme called ' Give Me a Break'.

Her appeal was retweeted by hundreds of followers, and local mum-to-be, Lucy Jayne (@LucyJ30) sympathised saying: '' I got mugged in Ealing 2 wks ago for my phone, and I'm pregnant! Pple need to be careful around here.''

The Metropolitan Police say as many as 10,000 mobile phones are stolen every month and have issued guidance on how to keep devices safe see here.

Marks and Spencers (Corporate Public Relations) refused to comment.
