D- Day For High School Places

Secondary School allocations will be released

Parents throughout Ealing have been waiting anxiously to hear which secondary school their child has got into. The wait is nearly over, but with an increasing number of families all seeking the best schools it's likely that many will be disappointed.

From Monday (1st March) letters will be sent out and information posted online to all those who have applied for a school place for September 2010.

For all applications received by the council before the deadline (23 October 2009) the council will send a letter by first class post advising the outcome.

If you applied online you can log onto the London e-Admissions website from 2 March 2010 to find out the result.

If you don't get a place at any of your preferred schools (from a choice of 6) the council will offer a place at a school with a vacancy as far as practically possible.

You do have the right of appeal and a response form will be included in the letter. If you indicate on that form that you wish to appeal you will be sent details of how to do so.

To appeal for a place at any other voluntary aided or foundation school apart from Brentside High School, Christ Church CE Junior School, Dormers Wells Junior School, Dormers Wells Infant School and Children’s Centre, The Edward Betham CE Primary School or Wood End Infant School, you will need to contact the school(s) for details of their arrangements and an appeal form.
