Keeping Ealing Reading

Next meeting in April

Thinking of joining us at our reading group?

Then great, you're very welcome to.  It's a great way to meet like minded people and makes for an interesting evening.  We meet in The Drayton Court Pub at 7.30pm on the last Tuesday of the month, with the next meeting on the 27th April.

When and where do WEN reading group meet?

In The Drayton Court Pub at 7.30pm on the last Tuesday of the month, with the next meeting on the 27th April.

Which book will be discussed?

'Saturday' is a novel set within a single and unusually eventful day that McEwan uses to explore society itself.  As the actions of the day turn darker they will certainly give us much to discuss.

Where can I get the book from?

West Ealing Library has a stock of the novel especially for the club, so pop in and borrow a copy.

What will we read next?

Always happy to take on board new suggestions; this is what we've got coming up:

25 May 'The Siege of Krishnapur' by JG Farrell
29 June 'The Pregnant Widow' by Martin Amis
27 July 'If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things' by Jon McGregor
31 August 'The Bell' by Iris Murdoch
28 September 'The Five People you Meet in Heaven' by Mitch Albom
26 October 'Oryx and Crake' by Margaret

Please register your interest to Sarah at WENreadinggroup@live.co.uk

Happy reading!
