Poundland Opening Delayed

New Ealing store due to open today

There'll be disappointment for Coronation Street fans expecting to see Katherine Kelly aka Becky Granger (McDonald) in Ealing on Saturday - the opening of the new Poundland store has been delayed.

In a statement just published the company say:

''Due to unforeseen circumstances the new Poundland store expected to open today, 18 March, in the Broadway Centre Ealing, will no longer be opening. This Saturday’s family fun day on 21 March has also been cancelled.

''Poundland is currently working hard to get the store ready for an opening in the near future and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause Ealing shoppers.

The new opening date will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.
