A Visit to Pitzhanger Manor

Blog of the week from London Historians

The glories of our very own Pitzhanger Manor House could be viewed by more people soon.

London Historians have featured architect Sir John Soane's (1753 – 1837 ) Ealing house on their blog.

Apart from servants’ quarters to the immediate north and an ancient folly which have both disappeared, the complex today it is still pretty much how Soane left it.

The full blog can be read here.

The group was launched in August 2010 as a club for Londoners who’d like to learn more about their city’s history.

They visits, talks, walks, social events to selected historical attractions and exhibitions. They also meet at a pub in London on the first Wednesday every month
