Bidding for thousands from The People's Millions - your vote counts
The People’s Millions is a partnership between the Big Lottery Fund and ITV. The public can vote for awards of up to £50,000 for projects in their ITV region.
Today (25th November) it's the turn of the Windmill Park Community Centre in Southall and organisers are asking for Ealing's support.
The centre has been shortlisted for a £50k grant. If successful, the cash will be used to transform a disused shower room into a multi-use space with a recording studio, IT suite, space for arts and crafts, ESOL lessons, and CV training.
Wilbur Yankey, Community Development Officer for Catalyst Communities Housing Association said:
“The cash will make a huge difference to the community but we can only win with your support. We need everyone to watch ITV news on the 25th and then pick up the phone to vote and support us.”
Windmill Park is competing against a project in North London.
The phone number to vote will be released this morning with lines open until midnight.
