Council keeping plans a closely guarded secret
Preparations are underway for Ealing's part in welcoming Olympic torch on July 24th next year.
Full details about what is planned haven't yet been revealed but Council leader, councillor Julian Bell, said:
“It’s wonderful that the torch will be visiting Ealing only three days before the official opening of the games. It gives borough residents the opportunity to get involved in the excitement of the world's biggest sporting event. Walpole Park is a wonderful location and as a venue for our popular summer festival we know it works well for big events and will provide a welcoming atmosphere.”
The council say further information about the evening event in Walpole Park will be revealed ... 'in the near future'.
Christ Church Church of England School is part of London 2012’s Get Set network, an acknowledgement from LOCOG for their involvement in the London 2012 education programme.
