Police renew appeals for information one year on

A year after a fatal stabbing in Northolt, detectives are offering a reward of up to £20,000 for witnesses and information.

At 21.10hrs on Monday 2 May 2011, a man was stabbed at the junction of Rowdell Road, Ealing Road and Kensington Road, Northolt.

He was taken by ambulance to St Mary's Hospital W2 where he died shortly after.

He was Adeniyi Lateef Shode (known as Ade or Enda), 21 of Whitchurch Avenue, Edgware.

Detective Inspector Andy Manning, the officer leading this investigation, said:

"Ade Shode was a young man who was murdered in the prime of his life. It is suspected Ade knew his attacker and he was murdered because of a previous disagreement between him and the killer.

"I am appealing to anyone who has any information with regard to this senseless killing to come forward and give information to police. In particular I am keen to speak with anyone who has any knowledge as to who killed Ade, why he was killed and who else was present during this unprovoked and violent attack.

"There is a reward of up to £20,000 for any information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the persons responsible for Ade's murder".

Antonia Frances, Ade Shode's mother said: "All our family thinks about Ade every day. We remember his laugh and smile and he always remains in our thoughts.

"It still hurts us to think that whoever killed Ade is still out there and we pray that it doesn't happen to anyone else's family".

Two men aged 20 and 19, and two women, aged 22 and 18, were arrested in connection with the murder last year. All four were bailed pending further enquiries.
