Police Appeal After Teenager Dies After Road Accident


Accident happened in Northolt last Friday

A 17-year-old girl who was in collision with a car in Northolt has died.

Police were called at approx 1300hrs on Friday, 14 September to reports of 17-year-old female in collision with a blue Toyota Aygo car in Petts Hill, at the junction with Wood End Lane, Northolt.

London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to a central London hospital for treatment to head injuries. She died in hospital today at 1514hrs.

Next of kin have been informed and a post mortem will be scheduled in
due course.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

DC Jim Hastings of the Road Death Investigation Unit said:

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Petts Hill around the time of the collision to come forward and speak to our officers. We are trying to build up a picture of the events leading up the collision, and of the collision itself. If you saw or heard anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, please contact us as your information may prove vital in piecing together the events of this tragic incident."

Officers from the Met's Road Death Investigation Unit based at Alperton investigate and appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact their witness appeal line on 0208 842 1817.

No arrests, inquiries continue.
