Man Hit By Train at Northfields Station


Delays on Piccadilly line following this morning's incident

A man - thought to be in his 60s - has been killed after being hit by a train at Northfields station this morning.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "BTP can confirm that a person has died after being struck by a westbound Piccadilly line train at Northfields Tube station on Friday 2 March.

"The incident was reported to police at 10.40am and is being treated as non-suspicious. "BTP officers attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

"The line was handed back to London Underground at 11.15am."

London Ambulance Service say they treated the tube driver for shock.
