TV presenter, musician and campaigner Myleene Klass bought a touch of extra glamour to the recent 2025 Staff Excellence Awards celebrating the work of individuals and teams at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust including those working at Ealing Hospital.

Myleene said: “It was great to meet some of the faces from our local NHS trust and learn about their amazing work. It’s certainly not the easiest job in the world, but the enthusiasm and humour on show was heartening to see. We’re lucky to have such a great NHS team in north west London.”

Fourteen awards were up for grabs at the gala event in Wembley attended by several hundred people.

The winners were:

• Celebrating Equity, Diversity and Inclusion award - Luxmi Dhoonmoon
• Beryl Carr Volunteer of the Year award - Emergency Department Volunteers
• Outstanding Team of the Year (Non-Clinical) - Team Based Rostering
• Outstanding Healthcare Team of the Year (Clinical) - Six North

Staff who had worked at the trust for more than 25 years were also honoured receiving long service awards.

Chief Executive Pippa Nightingale added, “It’s the one night we come together to recognise and celebrate the best of the best.

“An organisation is only as good as its people and it’s inspiring to see staff going above and beyond, despite the changes the NHS is going through at the moment.

“It is also nice to see some individuals and teams also getting the external validation of being shortlisted and winning national awards during the course of the year showing the good work that is happening.”
