Objections have been raised over plans to demolish an Ealing business park and replace it with more than 300 flats between 7 and 13 storeys high.

The application has been submitted to Ealing Council for the Manhattan Business Park, West Gate, Ealing W5 1UP by Mr Singh Manhattan Assets no 9 limited.

The plans are for the demolition of 8 industrial units and 10 flats and the construction of a mixed-use development ranging between 7 and 13- storeys with light industrial space, office, cafe and 326 flats with parking.

The area is on the border of several of Ealing's conservation areas; Brentham, Haymills and Brunswick which is located on the northern slopes of Hanger Hill.

Objections have been raised by local residents who have said it would be detrimental to views from Hanger Hill Park and is out of character with the traditional surrounding 1930s neighbourhood housing.

Others say the borough's increasing skyscraper skyline is changingthe borough "beyond recognition'' highlighting traffic and pollution concerns and share fears about a lack of infrastructure to support the new builds.

Campaigners, Stop The Towers have produced a red block image of how the development could look:

They are urging everyone to view the proposals and make objections regarding 'more gross over-development, lack of decent amenity space, dangerously high levels of pollution and the negative visual impact on conservation areas.''

The Ealing Council planning reference for the application is 212468FUL.
