What Makes You Feel Christmassy?

The advent calendar? The wreath on the door?

For me it has to be Christmas markets.

I love them, and, although I have never been to one abroad, I have always been very tempted.

Fortunately there are loads of them in the UK now - several in London including the rather splendid Hyde Park Winter Wonderland   (my tip - mean as it sounds - is to try and go without the kids because you can then avoid the expensive rides and pester power and just enjoy the food, drink and ambience of the market).

Closer to home there is a craft fair in Hanwell this Saturday (10th Dec by The Fox pub) so lots of presents can be bought there.

I recently went back to my roots and spent a fabulous day wandering around the bustling markets in Manchester.

Recession doesn't seem to be affecting them here (or maybe the shoppers aren't actually spending - just window shopping) as there are thousands of people locally and from further afield flocking to the centre and, like me, enjoying a really Christmassy day out.
