Ken Livingstone Visit To Ealing Hospital

Part of the 'drop the bill' campaign

Mayoral Candidate Ken Livingstone will visit Ealing Hospital today (Thursday 8th March) as part of the Drop the Health and Social Care Bill campaign.

He will take part in a walkabout around the hospital meeting patients, and speaking to senior managers about the hospital’s future.

It's still not clear what is in store for Ealing hospital but there are proposals for it to merge and fears that some services - including A&E - may be closed.

Labour say David Cameron refused to rule out the closure of services at Ealing Hospital when asked to do so by local MP Virenda Sharma.

Mr Livingstone will be joined by Shadow health minister Andrew Gwynne MP, Local MP Virendra Sharma, Cllr Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council and Dr Onkar Sahota, Labour’s London assembly candidate for Ealing and Hillingdon who has been leading a campaign to save Ealing hospital.
