House of Commons Thanks Long-serving Ealing Police Officer

A police officer from Ealing borough, who worked for the Metropolitan Police for three decades, has been thanked for his service by the House of Commons.
Ealing North MP James Murray told the House on Thursday 25 April that he had joined he had joined local residents and the local police last month at the Royal British Legion Club, Greenford, in wishing Arthur Gray all the best in his retirement following his many years of service as a Police Community Support Officer (PSCO).
Mr Murray said, “In recent years, Arthur has been a PCSO for Greenford and Northolt in my constituency and on his retirement, he said that his ‘biggest joy was working with residents’.”
He asked the Leader of the House to join him in sending sincere and heartfelt thanks to Arthur for all his years of service to the local community.
The Leader of the House, Penny Morduant, said in response, “I thank the hon. Gentleman for giving not just me, but the whole House the opportunity to say a big thank you to Arthur for his many years of service. It is because of him that our communities are not just safer, but stronger and better places in which to live.”
