Volunteers Needed For Local Charity

Can you lend your support to help hearing loss?

Volunteers are urgently sought to help a local charity raise awareness of hearing loss and tinnitus.

Action on Hearing Loss needs helpers to hold information stands or talks in local community groups, social clubs and places of worship.

The charity encourages Ealing residents to look after their hearing, get their hearing checked and helps direct people to local services.

Volunteers will have the chance to encourage local organisations to raise funds for the charity and campaign to improve the deaf awareness and accessibility of services and businesses for people with hearing loss.

Action on Hearing Loss’s Regional Volunteer Manager, Lucy Johnson, says:

“We’re looking for enthusiastic people in Ealing to come forward and use their time, skills and talent to raise vital awareness about hearing loss and tinnitus. The volunteers will not only have the chance to make a positive impact in the everyday lives of people who are deaf or hard of hearing or have tinnitus, but can also make new friends and enjoy some new, fun and rewarding experiences!”

For more information, contact Lucy on telephone: 020 7296 8394 or email: lucy.johnson@hearingloss.org.uk

Ealing residents concerned about their hearing can take Action on Hearing Loss’s hearing check, which can be accessed by visiting www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/check or calling telephone: 0844 800 3838.
