Police investigating 'unexplained death' of 41 year old
A man's been found dead by the Hanwell Flight of Locks.
Police say detectives from Ealing are 'investigating the circumstances of an unexplained death that occurred at approx. 02:00hrs on Tuesday 24 April.'
They were called to the Grand Union Canal, following the discovery of a body.
The tow path was closed off for a time and police told local residents they were investigating a 'serious incident.'
London Ambulance Service attended and the 41-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Enquiries are underway to establish exactly what happened.
