Baby in Hospital After Hanger Lane Flats Fire

Residents evacuated from the building last night

A baby has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a block of flats and shops in Ealing.

30 firefighters were sent to the five-storey building on Royal Parade in Western Avenue, Ealing, shortly after 9pm on Sunday (10th April).

About 20 people were evacuated from the building before the London Fire Brigade arrived.

A spokesman said the baby was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
