Man pleads guilty to affray following police investigation
A man's pleaded guilty to affray following the murder of Geeta Aulakh over two years ago.
The mother-of-two, 28, had her hand severed during the attack in Greenford, in 2009.
Ms Aulakh's husband, Harpreet Aulakh, 32, ordered the murder after she asked for a divorce. He was sentenced to a minimum of 28 years prison. Three other men were also found guilty of the brutal killing.
Amandip Aulakh, 31 of Dudley Road, Southall, was charged last year following an incident on October 15, 2011, of witness intimidation and affray.
Yesterday he admitted affray at a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court (Monday 20th February) and was given a 15 week jail sentence. He has served the time on remand and has been released.
Detective Inspector John Finch of the Homicide and Serious Crime Squad (HSCC) said: "I am pleased all aspects of this case have been fully and thoroughly investigated. This serves as a reminder to others that we will go to significant lengths to achieve justce."
