Blooming Beautiful!

Special gardens open to the public

On Bank Holiday Monday, London’s most beautifully designed gardens will be opened to the public - and one of them is here in Ealing.

19 Blakesley Avenue, Ealing, W5 is described by The Great London Garden Trail as:

''A delightful garden that hides a surprising treat for children young and old. The scented shrubs and cottage planting style offer gardeners a floral haven while the model railway that runs round the edge will bring a smile to everyone’s face.''

This special garden was designed by local consultant Denise Cadwallader in 2006. She says:

''The brief was to create a beautiful garden that would suit all the family's needs including the wish to have a model railway running round it.  The train winds its way around the garden in between shrubs and flowers and parks in the shed overnight.''

The garden won Best Large Garden in Ealing in Bloom two year's running and a prize at the London Garden Society awards last year.

Address: 19 Blakesley Avenue, Ealing, W5 2DN
Transport: 5 minutes walk from Ealing Broadway tube

The gardens will be open from 12pm until 5pm and are free to visit.
