Court action for dumping waste in Northfields
A fly-tipper has been taken to court for a series of waste offences following an investigation by Ealing Council.
Leonard Price, 43, of Birmingham, pleaded guilty at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 14 January, to two matters of dumping waste and four matters for illegally transporting waste.
He will be sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday, 12 February, for the fly-tipping offences in Junction Road and St Aidans Road, Northfield. Price is due to return for sentencing at the magistrates’ court on Thursday, 4 March for transporting waste without a licence.
In his defence, Price told the court he just drove for his brother. Leslie Price is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates’ Court, charged with waste offences.
In a separate case Bertalan Varadi, of Coldharbour Lane, Hayes also pleaded guilty at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 14 January for transporting waste without a licence. He had been issued with a fixed penalty notice in May, when he was stopped as part of a council and police road check, but failed to pay. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £100 costs.
