The vehicle that led last year's Half Marathon
July 30, 2025
Mercedes-Benz & smart of West London will serve as the official vehicle partner for the 2025 Ealing Half Marathon, returning for another year to support the major running event.
The race, set for Sunday 28 September, features a single 13.1-mile closed-road course through Ealing and nearby neighbourhoods.
A Mercedes-Benz vehicle will act as the lead car during the race, guiding thousands of runners through streets including Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell, and St Stephens. The company is also planning a public display in Walpole Park, where attendees can view new models and engage with interactive features.
Trevor Webb, Head of Business at Mercedes-Benz of West London, said:, “The race is a big annual event in Ealing and we very much look forward to entering a team and enjoying the event ourselves… It is the perfect opportunity for our team to get involved with the local community.”
The Ealing Half Marathon, now in its 13th year, is the only fully road-closed half marathon in West London. It regularly draws thousands of participants and supporters, and is widely supported by local volunteers and community groups. The official race bibs will also feature the Mercedes-Benz branding this year.
Race director Sandra Courtney welcomed the company’s continued involvement, saying, “Their vehicle integration and presence in the Race Village will elevate the experience for runners and spectators alike.”
The rganisers are also currently calling for volunteers to assist with this year’s race weekend.
Approximately 400 additional volunteers are still needed to ensure smooth operation across both events including the Ealing Mini Mile which takes place the day before the Half Marathon. “We can’t run our events without our amazing volunteers,” the team stated.
As an incentive, volunteers will receive a complimentary entry to the 2026 Ealing Half Marathon, which represents a saving of up to £55. Volunteers will also be entered into a prize draw for a £25 Up & Running UK voucher and a bottle of champagne.
Event organisers noted, “If you have a few hours to spare and look especially good in high-vis, please lend us a hand and help make EHM25 the best it can be!”
Individuals interested in volunteering can register via the event’s official website, where further information is available—including a route map and FAQs for newcomers and local residents alike. All confirmed volunteers will receive detailed guidance closer to the event date.
Organisers added, “If everyone could bring just one person, we’d hit our quota in no time.”
Lead charities for the 2025 event include Macmillan Cancer Support, Meadow House Hospice, and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
The race begins at 9am from Walpole Park, with registration now open via the Ealing Half Marathon website.
