Summer Fun With Ealing 135


Local group has a host of activities planned for the youngsters

The Ealing135 group are planning some great events this summer around Ealing for young families and carers. Their firm family favourite Summer fun will be running at Northfields Community Centre every Friday morning in August.

Also planned is Saturday Making box does Olympics crafts on Saturday 6 August and a picnic in Lammas park to keep the families entertained.

Ealing 135 Summer fun will run every Friday in August at Northfields Community Centre, 71a Northcroft Road, Ealing W13 9SS from 10:00am-11:30am. There will be indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts and play dough.

They will have tasters from popular children’s classes such as the Giggle Company, book readings from Bertie the Balloon and a musical adventure with Hartbeeps West Ealing. Each week there will be a different theme including Dinosaurs, At the Seaside, Trip to the Zoo and the Olympics with activities centred on these. Northfields Community Centre has great outdoor and spaces that can be enjoyed by the little ones.

Ealing 135 events and groups are made possible because of family members who pay annual memberships. The Summer fun sessions for 135 paid members are £4 per child, £1 per sibling and for non-members £6 per child and £2 per sibling. If you are interested in becoming a 135 member you can join up on the day and at £15 for the year.  No pre-booking, entry is on a first come first served basis and numbers are restricted, so try to get there on time as they can be popular. 

Ealing 135 is a friendly local network run by and for parent and carers in the borough of Ealing. They are run entirely by volunteers drawn from within their membership. They organise and run local family friendly events including play sessions, parent and carer groups, action songs and rhymes sessions, seasonal parties and Nearly new sales. 

Ealing 135, as a non profit making group, is raising money throughout the year for Home-start Ealing, the chosen charity for 2016. Home-start Ealing is a registered charity, supporting families with young children who live the within the borough. All the family’s Home-start work with are experiencing some type of stress or difficulty which could include isolation, poverty, mental health issues, bereavement and disability. In the Summer months they also have events such as a Picnic in Lammas park and Saturday making box with Olympics style crafts on Saturday 6 August where your children can do arts and crafts, get messy and you don’t have to do the clearing up! So if you are a young family, join the 135 group, as it gives you access to all this and more.
