Top marks for local GP practice
Cuckoo Lane Surgery in Hanwell - a nurse-led practice, has been rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
It was one of just two surgeries in England rated at the highest level by the commission in its 39 reports on care standards in GP practices.
Cuckoo Lane Surgery is run by two directors who are both nurses. The practice is proud of its personal, patient-centred culture.

In February, the surgery moved to new premises on Church Road, in Hanwell, just a 10 minute walk from Hanwell Mainline Station.
Julie Belton, Operational and Strategic Director at Cuckoo Lane Surgery, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled that our hard work and commitment using a nurse lead model has been recognised and acknowledged by the CQC. Our motto is continual improvement which we as a team will maintain in order to provide the highest standards of clinical care for our population.”

The practice has an active Patient Participation Group (PPG). Like all PPGs, Friends of Cuckoo Lane is led by volunteer patients, and is open to anyone registered at the practice.
