Crouch Heads Spurs To Victory

Local hero scores the winner

Tottenham Hotspur will play in the Champions League for the first time next season thanks to Ealing's Peter Crouch.

The former Drayton Manor schoolboy and regular of The Plough in Northfield - headed a late winner against Manchester City at the City of Manchester Stadium last night.

Crouch said, “I knew we had a fantastic squad and were capable of anything, but the top four have been the top four for so many years that for us to break in is a fantastic achievement.''

Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, said it was a better achievement than winning the FA Cup with Portsmouth two years ago.
