Ealing Shows Support For NHS And Key Workers

Masses turned out to make appreciation heard

( Harrow View Road )

There were emotional scenes up and down streets of Ealing on Thursday 26th March as residents joined the nation at 8pm in a show of solidarity for all those on the frontline dealing with the current crisis.

Never has the NHS and all its workers been more appreciated. But added to those VIPs, people also wanted to thank the many other key staff helping out currently, all types from supermarket and local shop staff, cleaners, delivery and transport drivers and bin collectors.

Heeding all the current advice to keep indoors to help try and stem the spread of the virus will be our small individual effort to ease the pressure on our hospitals.

On Harrow View Road in Pitshanger, Siobhan Bryar and her musical family joined the mass show of appreciation.

As her son played guitar, Siobhan brought out her Bodhrán and told us:

'' Everyone came out clapped or banged their saucepans. A fantastic community feel of love for the NHS and all who put themselves out there ever day to make sure that we can all continue to self-isolate. We cant thank them enough. Personally I think that when this is over we will salute these amazing people by demanding better salaries.''
