Covid-19 Infection Rates are Stable in Ealing

The highest neighbourhood rate I can find is West Ealing at 75.6/100,000 people. The overall rate for Ealing is 40.7 However it’s the third worst rate in London. The lowest rate in London is Hackney & City of London Croydon at 15.1. The overall rate for London is 26.8.

In the week ending 7 April 2021 there were 3 Covid-19 deaths of Ealing people who had died within 28 days of a positive test. In the week ending 7 April 2012, 115 Ealing residents had tested positive for Covid-19. In the seven days up to 28 March 2021, 8 Ealing patients were admitted with Covid-19 at Ealing and Northwick Park Hospitals.

Ealing Half Marathon to Return on 26 September 2021 – If Enough Runners Register

Covid-19 restrictions caused the cancellation of the 2020 event. With a cost of £250,000 to mount the event, the organisers need 1,000s of runners to register. Around 5,000 runners normally take part and over the years over £2.5 million has been raised for good causes. The race starts and ends in Lammas Park, West Ealing. Entries are now being accepted at: www.ealinghalfmarathon.com

Covid-19 Second Jab

I had my second Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine jab yesterday at Ealing Town Hall. It was very busy and well organised. It seemed strange entering the Town Hall again but pleasing to see it being put to such useful public purpose.

Ealing Has More Potholes Than Any Other London Borough

In the period 2018 – 2020, 8,850 potholes were recorded on Ealing’s roads. The information came to light after a GoCompare Car Freedom of Information request. Ealing spent just £1.1 million on pothole repairs. The best performing London borough for pothole repairs was Hammersmith & Fulham with just 141 potholes recorded.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.
