Ealing MP Offers Virtual Surgeries

Virendra Sharma using new software app and offering help and advice on Fridays

The Ealing North Labour MP, Virendra Sharma has gone online to offer constituents virtual surgeries.

The MP wants to continue to help residents through the lockdown and said:

''Having an office that constituents could use without an appointment is one of the things that makes me proudest as an MP. My constituency office has never required you to make an appointment. almost anyone has been able to drop in. At the moment sadly this isn't possible.

'"So we have made some changes. You will as always still be able to get someone at the end of a phone, calling 02085711003 still puts you through to my office, and if no one can answer you can leave a message. Calls are prioritised, and then dealt with in order of receipt. 

"'But last Friday we tried something new, and are now offering virtual face to face surgeries online using free to use zoom software. This is open to any of my constituents, and there's something a bit more reassuring about seeing a face rather than just hearing a voice. All you have to do is email me on sharmav@parliament.uk with your name and your local address."
