Attempted burglary in W5
Police are appealing for the help of the public in identifying two men recorded on CCTV during an attempted burglary that happened in Ealing last month.
At approximately 14:15hours on Wednesday 4th January 2012 the victim, an elderly woman, was at her home address in Almond Avenue, W5 when she heard a knock at the front door. It is believed this was made by the first suspect. She looked out of the window and saw a male looking through the ground floor, front room window.
At approximately 14:26hours a second suspect was seen jumping over the
back fence holding what appeared to be a hammer in his left hand.
He was then joined by the first suspect and it is alleged that they
tried to force open the back door. The suspects were then interrupted
and ran off.
The first suspect is described as a black male, aged between 17 - 23 and approx 5'10" tall. He was wearing dark grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, a dark top and a green cap with a black visor. He has shoulder length cane rows/braids in his hair which was put behind his ears and he appeared to have some stubble on his chin.
The second suspect is described as a white youth, aged around 17 and is
approx 5'9" tall. He was wearing black trainers, blue denim jeans, a
black and navy blue American style jock jacket with '3' symbol on the
left side, a blue and white check shirt and black and white goalkeeper
gloves.
Officers from Ealing Burglary Squad have released CCTV images of two
men, recorded at the time of the incident.
PC Donna Coker, Ealing Burglary Squad said "We are very keen to speak to
the men in the CCTV as we know they were in the area at the time of the
incident and ask for anyone who knows who or where they are to contact
us.
