West Ealing Has a Big Heart

New store is raising thousands for charity

The new British Heart Foundation (BHF) Furniture & Electrical Store at 9-13 Broadway is fast gaining a reputation as a destination for affordable furniture and electrical products in Ealing.

Since opening, thousands of customers have visited the Store to find a bargain for their home.

The large Store sells a huge range of furniture such as suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, beds and wardrobes plus an array of electrical items including TVs, Hi-Fis, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers. Lots of quirky, unique items spanning many eras have been donated so whether shoppers are looking for something modern, an antique gem or something that is ‘vintage chic’ it is the ideal hunting ground.

All funds raised in the Store have been pumped into the BHF’s life saving work in the fight against heart disease – the UK’s biggest killer. BHF Shops raise over £26 million annually to help fund research, patient care and life saving equipment.

Mira Palmer, Area Manager, said: “We are delighted that a month on, the Ealing Store has made its mark in the local community. When you consider that selling two sofas can provide a heart patient with a hand held ECG machine so that they can monitor their heart at home, it really puts things into perspective how much this Store is helping those in need.”

The Store’s success is largely dependent on the generous donations from Ealing locals, and the BHF urges them to continue donating good quality stock that will help save lives.

Locals can book a free collection by going online at bhf.org.uk/shops or calling the Store on 0844 499 4186.
