Prolific Crimininal Sent To Jail

Wayne Andrews sentenced to seven and a half years

Police say a dangerous career criminal has finally been brought to justice.

Wayne Andrews, who lived in the Southall area, was well known to officers as one of the borough’s most prolific offenders.

He had been arrested numerous times since 2001 and receiving a variety of convictions including an ASBO.

On May 12 Ealing officers executed a search warrant at Hobart Road in Hayes - the home of Kerrianne Stone, mother of three of Wayne Andrew’s young children.

Officers found approximately 132g of heroin, half of which had been flushed in a downstairs toilet.

They also found more than £4,000 in cash, scales and a converted Olympic 38 Revolver.

On September 20, Andrews pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin, possession of a firearm, ammunition and criminal property.

He was sentenced to seven and a half years imprisonment. No evidence was offered in the case against Stone and she was released from custody.

DI Sarah Pearce said "This conviction is a result of the excellent intelligence lead operation involving a dedicated team of Ealing officers and support staff assisted by colleagues from Hillingdon borough.

"All officers and support staff concerned with this case deserve to be congratulated for taking this very dangerous career criminal off our streets."
