December 2, 2025
Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) is celebrating a landmark sporting achievement as five of its athletes — four current students and one recent alumna — have been selected to represent Great Britain in Water Polo. The announcement marks a standout moment for the school, which has rapidly emerged as a national force in the sport.
The selected athletes include sisters Jaspreet (Year 13) and Manpreet (Year 11), alongside Iskra and Emily (both Year 11), and Zara Dannatt, who graduated in summer 2025. Their inclusion in Team GB reflects not only individual talent and dedication, but also the strength of the school’s water polo programme, which has seen a meteoric rise in recent years.
NHEHS teams are current national champions at both U18 and U15 levels, with the U13 squad having claimed the title in 2023/4. These results have placed the school at the forefront of youth water polo in the UK.
Jaspreet, speaking on behalf of the group, said, “It’s so good to see our hard work and discipline pay off. We train every evening for long hours and to be recognised in this way is an important reward for us. Thanks to our coach at school, Mr Bent, and to our external coaches, we’ve been inspired to push to GB level — and we hope to inspire others to push for their sporting achievements too.”
Coach Rob Bent, who leads swimming and water polo at NHEHS, praised the athletes and the wider support network, “We are immensely proud of all five athletes. Their commitment, resilience and love for the sport have shone through, and to see them recognised at national level is fantastic. At NHEHS we focus on nurturing a passion for water polo from the very beginning. Our partnerships with outstanding local clubs like West London Penguins and leading coaches form a strong talent pathway. The dedication of parents and staff provides vital support both in and out of school. This success is a true team effort.”
